Alessia Cara is a master imitating other singers and has appeared several times at the Tonight Show, including the popular segment “Wheel of Impressions”. “Bad person” has the impression of seven other singers.
In the clip Fallon explains the challenge to make Cara look nervous. “This is the same as the most impressive song. Roots will start singing with the impression of Lorde before playing the backing track and moving to Alanis. Morrisette, Shakira, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande and Cardi B. The impressive performance ends Cara’s song to Eilish (and Cara and Fallon dancing around the desk).
Cara and Fallon have teamed up for a live mashup of Bee Gees ‘“Stayin’ Alive” and Cara ’s hit “Stay”. With the clip Fallon substitutes a disco single (completed with costume and wig) during Cara’s performance. Her own number.
The “here” singer previously demonstrated her skills at the Tonight Show, which conveys the perfect impression of Amy Winehouse and Alanis Morrisette, but this weekend Jimmy Fallon took her one step up.
Fallon switched to 7 different impressions during a single song to Cara, making Billie Eilish’s “bad guy” an unprecedented performance.
Color added, “Because the roots jump into the bit, this is the same as the most difficult song that makes an impression.” From Cardi B and Ariana Grande Alessia easily transforms into an invisible version of her pop colleague. A must-see.
No one was sitting on the sideline, Fallon was impressed during the performance. The two mashed up the hits of Zedd, “Stay” and Cara mixed with “Stayin Alive” by The Bee Gees. Jimmy will of course get the wrong effect along with disco pants and Gibb facial hair.
